Chai has brought us closer together throughout our lives. From after school brews, to university catch-ups, exploring the landscapes of India and even on our road-trip around Australia – we never felt too far away from home when sharing a comforting cup of chai, with each other and everyone we met.
As the flavours of chai became more popular, we looked forward to exploring the city in search of the perfect brew. But as a diabetic, co-founder of Chhabra’s Chai, Pratima, found tasting the more popular chai blends on the market particularly difficult. Many western chai alternatives such as instant powdered mixtures and tea bag infusions, are often overly sweetened or fail to create the intensely defining flavours of chai. Unable to find an authentic tasting chai that was also sugar free and 100% natural, as self-declared chai-vanists, we founded Chhabra’s Chai. Now, we are on our way to starting our #chairevolution!
